i recently purchased an '06 ram 1500, and on the way home i noticed that the tach wasnt workin right. i thought i had seen it working when i test drove the truck so i didn't know what the deal was. i kept an eye on it on the way home and noticed that it would sometimes work and other times not. most of the time it would sit on bout 200 rpm then i could downshift and it would kick up to bout 5500 or so rpms. i've had the truck now for bout 2 months and just have not paid any more attention to it. until the other day i noticed the needle had gone all the way around and was sitting on the bottom of the peg on the left side. somehow it circled back around and got back to bout 200 rpms again. but it still won't act right. has anyone had problems like this?
