Is This Something I Can Do?
I took my truck to two shops today to get estimates. Both shop estimators were gone so I could get one at either shop. I did get part prices though. Almost $600 for the fascia, filler panel, and a section of the bumper. It turns out some of the bumper was bent, but they said it might be possible to fix without replacing. I'm considering just replacing the fascia and filler myself and not worrying with the bent bumper behind it. Much cheaper after getting it painted. So does anyone know how that fascia comes off?
Leverage.
The small 1ft ratchet handle may not be long enough to break the bolts loose. If you slide a piece of pipe over the ratchet handle that will provide you with more leverage so you can have the power to break the bolts free. I wouldn't think that you should have any problems on an '08 anyhow.

So a couple of months ago I ended up getting a reciever hitch through my front bumper. I'm not gonna go into details because it just stirs me up again. Anyway, I have to get a whole new front bumper since it's all one piece. My truck is an 08 Sport. I don't think getting the part will be a problem, but I was thinking that maybe I can get away with not paying for labor if I can put it on myself. I've heard that it's only six bolts, but I'm not sure. Is this something that the average guy can handle or should I just leave it to the professionals? Thanks.
Well I got an estimate today. $800 for a front bumper complete overhall and paintjob. The guy said that the bent part of the bumper couldn't be popped out like he thought. I think I might just let them do it because I was looking at $600 just in parts doing it myself. That's not counting getting it painted.
