Default driver side catalytic conv fell apart from the inside??

Is it possible for the cat to fall apart from the inside?
I woke up this morn an went outside to start my truck to warm up an I come back 10 mins later an I hear this awful rattleing from under the driver door.
So I slid underneath thinkin my exaust hanger broke off an everything is fine, an the noise comes from the cat. Only the driver side.
Also will my truck sound like **** if I cut the cats off?

Your cat is toast bro...that rattle is the honeycomb breaking apart. Are you throwing any codes?

It won't sound like crap but it'll stink like crap and you'll fail the sniffer/DTC test if you have smog in your area. If you just have the visual test you can gut the cats but leave them on...that way it looks like you have them.

Lol, damnit I jus bought these high flow cats 6 months ago.
Na I aint throwin any codes I got 02 simulators on them.
I have no regulations or inspections at all where I'm from, so I may jus cut the cats off, would I have to tune this on the predator if I do decide to cut them off?
My truck be louder wit the cats cut ?

Not with the sims...the pcm will still think the cats are there. Your truck will be a little louder without cats but since you have high-flows the difference shouldn't be huge.

Your cats you bought should have a warranty on them...call the company and have it replaced. Even if you still decide to ditch the cats you could sell the them on ebay/craigslist.

aftermarket cats are pretty crappy, not to many hold up for long.

leave the cats on, what most of us do is remove the cat and punch a hole into them with a piece of rebarb, cleaning them out, that way you still retain the factory bung hole for the sensors, that way if you ever go to sell the truck, they still look visible.
