I am about to change out my 20"ers with some 17"ers and 35" tires after I put the lift on.

+1 you can go bigger but you will need a leveling kit and maybe some wheel spacers if the get too wide, otherwise you will start rubbin.

Im new to this site. Just found it today. I have a 2002 Ram 1500 with stock 275/70/17's. I'm ready to finally get new tires and I want bigger ones. I was looking at 305/65/17's in the BF Goodrich. Someone earlier posted that the biggest I could go was 285's. After reading on here for a couple of hours, I just thought I'd ask...can my truck accomodate the 305's? Are there any safety issues associated with the bigger tires? And lastly, what do you experts recommend.

By the way, I love this site.

The problem you might have is rubbing. I'd say check to see how much room you have with your wheels turned both ways. Dont forget with suspension travel too. But I looked up the difference with your trucks current and what you want specs and there's only a 1" width difference and 1/2" height difference... The calculator says you will be going a mile an hr faster too. Just something for thought.
