Hey. I recently purchased a spare 17" aluminum rim for my 04 ram to take the place of the spare steel rim. The piece of the spare tire winch that goes through the hole for the spare tire won't fit through the center of the rim. Does anyone know of a solution to adapt this thing to fit the rim. I've considered cutting it down, but I'm concerned that it may weaken the piece.
