hey guys 2nd post here,, i have 1500 miles on the 4.7 now and i was looking for suggestions about when to change the oil and what i should use after the change... syntec or reg.. any brands you guys prefer? anything else i should check at 2k ... ?

I did my first oil change at 800, but only cause I towed for 300miles of it right after the initial 500 mile break-in.
1500 is a perfect number to do your first change. I went right to Synthetic after my first change I used Mobil 1. Local parts store had a special on it. Buy 5qts and a mobil 1 filter for $24.88. Then I just had to buy 2 more qts. I think you only need 6qts though
