Default Stripe

I tried the vertical stripe thing when they started to crack and got my new hood I went with painted. Black pearl color. To many vertical stripes out there. Try to design something a little different and make it your own.

I did mine myself. My buddy has one those expensive vynil cutters... It works like a CAD printer... I didnt have any ideas either... I did see some of the ones posted already but didnt wanna hassel with editing the computer image to make it look right when its being cut out. I just took the Dodge emblem and then added Hemi over it and 5.7 liter under it in Red.. Plus I see alot of people's bed stripes go over the top of the bed rail. I stopped mine about a 1/4 " from the top of the bed rail and wrapped it under the rear fender... I tell ya, It aint no easy task trying to get the stripe level and even on both sides. If any has done tinting and installed graphics before you know how much of a pan in da **** it is to keep out the "fingers" you get when going over major bends on the surface... Use distilled water with very little J&J baby shampoo. Have a hair dryer or heat gun handy. Look out for over heating and creasing the vynil... GOOD luck...

I've got a pretty good technique down now, here's a few of the vehicles I put vinyl on so far. Body creases suck but you can work it into them, and use lots of rapid tac. Paint prep is big, the smoother the paint the better they look in the finished product. Use a striping cleaner or dish soap to wash the area before and remove some of the wax, things don't like to stick to wax. I'm by no means a professional but there is a lot of info around on the web.

First, unless you have years of experience, i wouldn't try to put them on yourself. The curve at the top of the bed makes it difficult to not create creases in the vinyl. I had mine made and installed by a local company that does all the citys emergency vehicles. They had to redo the left side 3 times. I paid $120 total for both sides. I plan on getting a fiberglass tonneau cover, then having the rest of the stipe ran across it.

I didn't want to put a ram head on mine. Makes it look like some trashy ricer vinyl or sticker from walmart.

Here's pics of mine:

I've been working with vinyl making signs for over a year and a half now, installing these will be an easy day for me. I'm just looking for ideas.

me and my buddy spent 5 hours doing the graphics on my bike. vinyl truly is a pain in the @$$. lots of soapy water, lot of re-doing, heat gun to stretch it on the hard spots and then a blade to cut that one little bubble that is about to ruin the whole job.

Here's my bed stripe... this was after I battled with the fender at the top curve below the bed rail. I tell ya, patients is greatly needed.... Outcome satisfying.

I added the Hemi 5.7 logo couple days later.. Ill try to get finished pics later...
