This is not fact based but if you look at the bumpers, they appear the same. I wouldnt see a problem with a newer style bumper fitting. Just the painted section above the bumper would have to be the same as what you have for the headlight notches.

Near as i can tell its a cover with reinforcement behind it for stiffening purposes. I too want a sport bumper.

I"m almost 99% sure my first statment is true, just call you insurance company and say will this hurt my rates they will tell you or at least geico will.

yeah i got a real nice creased dent in my rear bumper at the mall the other day. even when i was parked in the way back i sitll get hit. its right on the corner of the bumper too. im debating what to do just as you are. mine doesnt look as bad as yours and if it did i would be crying probably haha. i love my truck and hate seeing any imperfections. good luck with whatever you choose to do. check out ebay i see takeoff bumpers all the time for decent prices and alright shipping prices too.

I would just fix it your self. I had a body shop give me an estimate for fixing mine it it was 4k. I priced everything out on my own and I'm doing all the work and I can fix it all for around $1500. you can get the chrome bumpers pretty cheap.
