Default Ignorant letter from dealer..

My dealer sent me a generic letter.

Factory Basic Warranty expiration acknowledgement.

I ( Name ) have been informed that the full coverage factory warranty on my 06 Ram will be expiring on june 09 0r at 60,000 Kilometers.

After careful consideration, I have elected NOT to extend my coverage period beyond that point. I realize and accept that upon the expiration of my chrysler factery warranty, the liabillity for any repair costs will be my reponsibility.

Date jan 7/09

Customer name and my signature ( Im requested to sign and date this )

I still have 2 year 40,000 km on the power train, not mentioned in this generic fourm letter.

My 3 year 60,000 km warranty has long since passed, I know that, but I kinda take it has a slap in the face that so long good bye, were not going to look after you, screw you, go some else for your repairs + service, or stay with are dealer ship and we will xxx screw you over..

No information on extra warranty coverage ( not that I need it ) or any offers to get into a new truck.

That sucks they got what they wanted so who cares about the consumer. I hate dealerships. Every once in awhile I will go into a dealership and shop around, haggle the price make them think I am gonna buy then leave, only thing I can do to get back at them is to waste their time.

That sounds like a standard letter, probably not even sent from the dealer but from Dodge on the dealers behalf on or about the 3 year anniversary of your purchase (because they might not know you are past the mileage). You don't even need to sign it - it's basically trying to scare you into buying another warranty. Some people would get that and immediately get worried and call the dealer to buy a warranty. Dodge may not know you have an extended warranty, because it might not be thru them. Best thing you can do is just shred it.
