I'm getting one soon for my 02. A superchips is the best bet as they do offer one for the Magnum.

sc 3815 works for you. the 3715 used to be what youd want but the 3815 has all updates fror all gas dodge trucks 1998 and up. maybe give them a call and see if all the great benefits that everyone else gets apply to your motor too. i cant see why not.

hit the web site or their forum - Google 'em, too lazy to look up the links. I can tell you this though, MOST gains of ANY canned tune programmer for any gas engine is the Superchips 3815 / 5.9 Magnum combo!!!

I believe before '04 Rams had separate ECU and TCM so you probably won't have the option of shift points. You should be able to raise your rev limiter though. I had a Superchips on my '98 5.2L and there was a small but noticable hp gain and with the ability to change for tire size and read codes, I believe it was worth owning.

Superchips claims gains for the 5.9L...Max 46.9 HP and 59.4 ft lbs torque

that should push me near or above 300hp at the crank then. If those gains are true. I'm gonna order mine soon and test it out.
