2004 dodge ram 1500 abs problems
I have a 2004 dodge ram 1500 5.7L hemi sport 4x4 and the abs kicks in all the time when braking and will just all of a sudden cut out causing me to slam on my brakes. The abs light was not on but I disconnected the plug from the computer under the hood so the abs will not engage. Now i have good old fashion brakes which i am fine with except I am trying to sell the truck now and the abs light and brake light is now on because I disconnected it. I have taken it into a shop and they tried all day to figure out whats going on with it but came up with nothing.
It happened when I had to stop really hard one night because someone cut me off but still drove another 30 kms to my house without any problems. The next morning I woke up and the brakes were all messed up pushing against my foot and making noises. I took it in and got new rotors and brakes... apparently i warped my rotors stopping so hard although still have the problem.
Does anyone have any idea how to fix it. I have thought that maybe something happened to the sensors but I dont know where to find the sensors or what to look for . I find it strange how it didn't affect it until the next day. I don't want to take it to the dealership because they will have my buy everything under the sun. I'd rather check out if anyone knows anything first. Any suggestion would be great! thank you!

Probably a sensor, if it's reporting a normal code during non-braking it often does not through a code. Buy one, about $35 online or $55 at dealer and swap one at a time and drive it to find the bad one. Hopefully it's just one.
It's located at the rear of the housing and is a 5 minute swap. Single bolt, single connector. I've not had to do one since '02 when I had my '98 Grand Cherokee that was my wife's (now ex) daily driver. But they are about in the same place. I was lucky, at least mine threw a code, I just had to swap till it went off...
Get the actual Mopar one, even if you get it online (trust me). Looks like this:
