Unless the wiring is 12awg already, then yes you do need to upgrade the wiring. The amount of current being drawn through the wire will be insufficient and heat up the wiring causing the insulation to melt. The max amount of current a 12awg wire can handle is 25amp. 2-150w bulbs is right about 24amps. I would say 130w bulbs max for safety on a 12awg wire.

My guess is the wiring is 14awg and has a max rating of 20amps. The 100w bulbs draw a little over 15amps for the pair. 130 will draw 20amps.

Your truck with 6-100w bulbs is drawing about 50amps all together when they are on. Just to give you insight, your high beams only draw 10amps when left on.
6-150w bulbs will draw almost 75amps with just the flick of a switch! Instant drainage....lol

Does anyone know where to find roll bars/light bars/bed bars (whatever they call them now) for a 07 Ram QC? Thanks
