Default Need help fast

i have an 03 dodge 1500 with 4.7 v8 and i changed my spark pugs and now the truck is idling at 2000 rpm. could it be tcs or map sensor?

Did you pinch the throttle cable/linkage as you were working under the hood? Check for lose/disconnected wires as well.

Hrm. I thought I saw something recently on here that somebody had to disconnect the battery for a few minutes after a spark plug change. You might want to try that.

You can also try blipping the throttle wide-open and see if it drops back to normal idle as well. Be ready to kill the ignition if it doesn't return from WOT, though.

i did disconnect the battery for 2 hours and did nothing, also when it was running if u hit the throttle it comes down then goes right back up

i think.....correct me if im wrong...does that year 4.7 have the fly by wire throttle? of so try recalibrating it..i think the proper procedure is to turn key to on position, wait for all the dash lights to go out, then slowly depress the gas pedal all the way to the floor then slowly return and it should be set...thats how it says in my haynes anyway...
