Hes talking about an oil catch can... it removes oil from the intake and really isnt needed although it wouldnt hurt to have one, imo its just a waste of money unless your not naturally aspirated.

Yup talking about an oil catch can...I had one on my LS1 because it would suck oil like crazy through the PCV valve. I'd get half a can of oil every oil change...that's like 1/4 qt. With my hemi i'm noticing some film on the inside of my intake and TB...i'm thinking oil might be getting sucked up through the breather on the driver side.

A lot of the LX hemi guys are using catch cans inline with the PCV...our PCV is in the manifold so it must be coming from the breather Any ideas?

I made one myself from an air/water separator for my compressor. I just removed the guts and installed barbed fitting on the ends and then I threaded a cap at the bottom where the little lever was. Cost me about $30. Steeda makes them for the Mustangs for the most part but they are all the same. They get $80 I think and it's very clean and comes with a mounting bracket. I had to custom fab up one. It was kind of a pain.

Also, Ford had a terrible PCV valve design that was right in the head and caught splashing oil constantly. With a Properly done PCV in the manifold and lots of oil residue is a clear sign of oil running past the rings and/or valve seals.
