Default Big Horn??

What makes my truck a Bighorn? I was looking on the window sticker and it says across the top RAM 1500 BIG HORN QUAD CAB 4X4
And I have a Bighorn badge. WTF is bighorn? I thought it was a package or something, but there's nothing that identifies it as such.

I apologize for my ignorance since I have owned this truck for almost a year now and haven't the slightest clue.
How about that, 'dog don't know!...lmao

I thought there were a few options that set you apart from other non big horn trucks. Cant say what they are. Perhaps interior trim parts? Maybe look up the Lone Star Edition and compare it to yours to get an idea.

Yeah, there's nothing on the Window sticker that says anything except "Big Horn" Badge under the 5.7L hemi option in Optional equipment.

yea i think its just the 20" rim option and maybe the 3.92 gears? not much else that separates it.

Big Horn, Lonestar, Thunderroad... they are all the same. Mines a Thunderroad, the dealer could not explain what made it that. He said " I think its an underhood lamp, the 20's and a badge." But it did not even have a badge. They had a box of badges in the body shop there, Big Horn, Lonestar, Thunderroad he gave me my choice....

According to the 2008 Pamphlet I picked up when looking for my truck, the Big Horn Edition "Includes the standard equipment of the SLT Trim Level, except where additions are noted: Chrome billet grille, fog lamps, 20-inch cast aluminum wheels on 1500 models, 17-inch cast aluminum wheels on Heavy Duty models."

So it's basically an SLT truck with a different grille, fog lams, and different wheels. You could get the fog lamps and wheels separately, but this just packages them and adds a badge. Almost every truck I found while shopping that wasn't a sport model was a Big Horn in my area.

I originally thought it was the wheels and tow package combo since the gears are combined with that and you get the higher amp battery. However, nobody at the dealer knows and online I couldn't find a damn thing. And that looks like it's the Preferred package 26g.
So my only guess is the 20" wheel and 3:92 gear combo. What you guys think? Hell we could make it anything we want at this point...lol

The truth comes alive! makes sense actually because any other model I looked at had painted grills and bumpers and I didn't want that.
Thanks SOS, I'm gonna hold you to that..hehe
