Yes the one you posted I don't think is as sharp looking as the other one, but I will be putting some mods on it out of my own money. I have to take car of the truck, and its going to have to last me 5-7 years, but I won't be driving much for the next 2 or 3 years. I also work for a newspaper (as a photographer) and I mow lawns in the summer, so I need something that can pull, and I have horses and photograph them for people. The nice thing about the truck for 9500 is it has been set up for towing, it has the towing mirrors (He says that cost his dad 500 from Dodge) and the brake controller added.

Just some ammo for mommy dearest, the 5.7 Hemi has much newer technology gets better gas mileage than the 5.9 Magnum. For you: the Hemi does this while still producing about 100 more HP (I'd probably not volunteer that to mom, though)...

Yeah, leave out the hp part, but push the gas mileage thing. I think that moms go for that kind of stuff

you have horses? im guessing you live in the country because then 4wd would be useful on those dirt roads especially after a rain. If you tow a lot, a hemi would be better but for what you described, the 5.9 will be plenty of power. Even a 4.7 can do the job. If a newer hemi with less miles cost less, id say go for hemi. I dont really like chrome fenders or gas caps that much. The bed rails, running boards, and wind deflectors do like nice though and tow mirrors are useful. With the money you saved, you could go and buy the mirrors yourself. Im sure some people here could direct you to them for less than the $500 the guy paid

I really don't want a 4x4, yeah I'm in the country, but have no need for one and we do all of are own work on are vehicles so 2wd works better for us. As for the Hemi, my mom knows about them, and she dosen't really care about the added hp, she'd be fine with one. I called on that 03 Dodge ram with the Hemi that was posted here, he never gave me a call back, so I'm going to give him another call tomorrow.

EDIT: I just talked to the guy with the 03 Ram, I didn't get a good felling from him, (is only like 21)and he isn't really in okc, but west of there, that means hes 4 hours away from me, I asked him to send me some photos to tomorrow, I also asked him if it had any scratches, he said there is one on the passengers side door about 5 inches long.

out here in southeast texas, we have a ranch and we could get by without a 4wd too. my dad has a 04 tundra 4.7 2wd and it does everything we need. we can tow out boat, 4 wheeler and tractors around dirt roads with no problems although we try avoid to avoid them after a rain. the 5.9 will have more than enough power so if you dont like the guy with the 03, dont get it. itll be a pain to get a good look at the truck if he lives way out there. also if hes a young driver anything like me, i wouldnt buy the truck either. at least with the 02, you know who the driver is and whats he like. you could also look for some rams with the 4.7. they would be a lot cheaper and have not much less power than the 5.9

Thats the thing about the 02 I like is his retired dad owned the truck before him then a year ago he sold it to his son when he bought himself a new 08 Ram, now his son got promoted at work so now hes driving like 35 miles one way...so he needs something else...and the truck as recorders on when the oil was changed and all that.
