hows it ride? i've got a leveling kit and add a leaf im hesitant to install after hearing it makes the ride really rough with an empty bed. i usually only have the bad full when transporting shingles or block, or when ive got the bikes and luggage in the back going to a bike week. otherwise its just wood, or minimal weight. thanks

my truck has the fabtech add a leaf, it rides sooo rough when its empty. hook up the boat, and its perfect. but empty it sucks. the rear of the truck bounces over speedbumps.

thats exactly what i heard and what i was afraid of. i think i might just sell the add a leafs and buy some lift blocks, except i cant seem find to fine one, although i had a site for blocks just for our trucks, but didnt bookmark it.

I had add-a-leafs on my 2nd gen Ram and boy did it ride rough when the bed was empty. You need a kidney belt for a long ride.

I've thought about leveling kits, but I don't know what I want to do. Whether just a small lift, or a leveling kit. I wouldn't go with a big lift, since I won't have the 35" tires to fit it. What size lift do you think would look good.
And your new tires look sweet with the leveling kit. Really nice truck.

if i didnt tow my boat with my truck alot in the summer, i would opt for blocks instead. i thought about that when i first got it. but when its hooked up to the boat and the bed is loaded, it barely sags and that works better for me. i rode in my buddies stock 06, and man would i love to have that setup, it was soo smooth compared to mine...just my opinion though. what about a whole new lift-leaf pack? like a whole new re-arched spring set? i dont know if they even make them, sure they do. that could be another option maybe...

Nice, the more I see those Coopers the more they grow on me. But I have about 3 1/2, 4 years before I get new tires, so let us know how they wear!

I don't think it rides rough at all. The ride didn't change much. You feel like you're sitting up higher though. I opted for the 2" leveling kit because I heard that the 2.5 causes knocking when in 4 wheel drive. I would suggest the add a springs though. No discomfort when driving. I have only put about 500 miles on them though.
