Small dilemma at the dealership.
I went in the dealership to order a part for my lil old chevy van today and while I was waiting I decided out of curiosity to look at the NEW 08 - 09 model trucks, Just to see how different they were from my lil ol 2005 ram.
The sales man walks up and does his speal about the truck and I tell him almost immediatly that I was just looking and I just bought this 05 from them little over a month ago w/ a warranty of all things.
He procedes to ask me what I paid for it and all that. He then shows me a 08 ram bighorn w/ towing package andeverything mine currently has on it along with the heated leather seats , sat radio, the lifetime warranty, all around beautiful truck.
He tells me that I can drive off the lot with it today for my 05 truck and 3,000 cash.
I paid 17,000 for my truck with 23K miles and the lifetime powertrain warranty on it. Now I really like my 05, and am wondering if it is worth it.
I told him my wife would need to see it to agree or not. And I would come back.

That's one of those "too good to believe" deals, an '08 KBBs, even used for about $14,000 more than your '05. I'm thinking there might be a little "fine print" involved here, but if they are serious, JUMP ON IT!!!
I am gonna go back this evening and probably do it. Just got my tax refund so I have the cash. And I think I can still return the warranty for the 05 and ge my $920 back for it. I only put 200 miles on the 05, So it will be amusing if it all works out. I can't imagin what the fine print would involve.

For 3K over your truck, id do it. $1000.00 more per year, zero miles and a slight upgrade in equipment. IMO thats hard to pass up. On average, 1K only adjusts your loan payment by less than 20 dollars. Simply my .02
