Blowing out the rear diff would give me a good reason to upgrade to an Auburn or Detroit limited slip and some 4.56's

Speaking of that, Im thinking lift and 37's, now we are talking

Are you married or something? The problem i have is that I cannot replace something unless it breaks or no longer functions correctly, living on farm has taught me to be a cheap a**

The government takes my money every paycheck, to take care people of with no jobs, some need it and some just milk the system. I would rather throw money into my truck. Point is, if you got the money spend it!!!

30K for that year. I think they didn't go to 60K 'til '08. BTW, I drained mine while it was warm. I let it drip for a long time -- it took 7 quarts to refill.

I guess mine are coming up for a change then. My gears are under warranty for life, So they will never get upgraded, Which I am not sure is a good thing or not.

Update:

Changed the tranny fluid today, took 7 1/2 quarts of oil

Oh yeah I did not know that there are 2 tranny filters, the parts store only gave me the pick up tube one and not the spin on one, kinda pissed about that

Does the spin on one filter the oil coming back from the cooler?

Im going to get the damn spin on filter and change the fluid in another 15k soon, really pisses me off cause I got to buy 60$ worth of oil again

Yes, the spin-on filters the return fluid. Probably not a big deal, the spin-on is an every-other-time thing anyway. Hope that $60 bought a whole case. The Valvoline I bought was $3/qt. I don't think I spent $60 including the filters and gasket.

Synthetic is not required, so I used the "reg'lar" version.
