What is the size of our stock exhaust? And is that measurement inside out outside of the pipe?

 

Mine looks like 2 3/4 inches from the inside on the tailpipe. I think it's smaller from the cats back to the muffler, probably closer to 2 inches. I've read that any bigger than 3 on the a single out, or 2 1/4 dual out is too big for the v6's. I'm no mechanic or engineer, but that's what I have been told.

 

I wanting to run a Cherry Bomb single in to dual out. Cat-back setup. I plan on cutting off the cats and installing the O2 extenders to fool the computer. That is why I want to know the pipe diameter

 

i think we're 2 1/2...if not, that's what i have on there now. 3" would be overkill.
