Default Tune Ups!!!

I am a new member, Love my Hemi!
Just learned that all Hemi's require a tune up at 30k. 2 plugs per cylinder and all the timing and computer stuff. Makes sense, my mileage went down for no reason from 15.5-16 down to 12.5- 13. Anyone else have similiar experience? PS, I have 37k on and it goes in for the tune up on thurs 2/24.

You're right about the intervals for the service. That is a minimum as well. DC claims you can as far as 60K before changing the plugs. Of course that's dependent upon the use.

Without knowing where you live, it mat be just "winter" gas. Mileage falls off in the winter. Mine has done so as well, along with the mileage on my Intrepid.

I don't know if it is just the winter gas or not. It started in september and I live in SD. They may have switched it to winter gas in sept? I have been running synthetic oil since new and run ethanol/ gas . Do I still need to worry about the tune up?
Thanks Tom

It's safer to stick with the schedule DC has. The cold air also makes a difference.

So how much do these tune-ups cost at the dealers?

Tune ups cost around 400 at the dealer. I am having my local ASE cert. mechanic do it. Small town small prices. 200 bucks. Then again, I do all of my service work with him. I was shocked to learn that there are 2 plugs per cylinder.
