Default glasspack?

Not a big enough budget for a magnaflow at the moment. Thinking about running a glasspack with a y pipe out the back rolled tips. What do u think about this set up? Ive got a 06 hemi.

That is the exact same setup i had on my last two trucks, Glasspack and Y system and Rolled tips. Was about $190 installed each time at exhaust pro's. Trucks were 98' dakota 5.2 and 98' ram 5.9 They were both something like BluStream glasspacks i think?? Can't say it did much for perfomance, but it had a nice low rumble, and not so annoyingly lound. I'm sure the hemi would make it sound mean.

Yeah, I see no reason why that wouldn't be fine. What glasspack you going with, I had dual Cherry Bombs on a '73 Nova SS I had back in the day when I had hair and no belly. Was awesome!!!

If you go to a decent exhaust shop they'll probably have some aluminized magnaflow mufflers for sale....you should be able to get one welded in for under $120 since it isn't stainless. There's no need for a whole stainless catback if you can't afford it.

Not useless! If I pointed the rear of my Nova just right, I could take out the neighbors garage windows.... For all I know, he's still blaming "them damn kids and their rocks", twenty years later....

yea, thats the only cars they sound good on. muscle cars. my nova has turbo mufflers on it. glasspacks just sound dumb on trucks. the truck will be making tons of noise but barely accelerating at 10 mph.
