wet sand w/ 320, use laquer thinner to remove oil and grease, tape off reverse light and cargo light, re wipe w/ laquer thinner, spray on light coat of vht nightshades, once it begins to tack slightly, (5 mins time est..) spray another coat, continue till you reach desired tint, before totally dry, remove tape then clear w/ duplicolor auto clear, once dry, reinstall your lights and step back, while still awestricken, say "daaaaayum, that looks sick yo!'" ( or whatever ingenious phrase you may prefer.) lol

im thinking about buying some nite shades and tinting my brake lights. How many coats do you think you put on and how well does the light shine out of it. I dont want to get into trouple with the cops
I used two coats I think, and one pretty solid coat of clear. It all depends on the amount of tint you want. The light shines out great, you barely even know they are tinted when lights come on. Summit racing sells it for 12 bucks a can and I barely even put a dent in the first can. Maybe 1/4 of a can.
