High Output Alternators???

Default High Output Alternators???

anyone know of a good brand of High Output alternator?? OE puts 137 amp out at peak....the ones Im looking at are 220 amp at idle....for 340.00

PA has some good Alt's. Priced about the same. If you go 200+amp your gonna need to beef up the supply feed. I just added a 10awg wire from an old power wire from my amp. It should be 4awg total and the ground on the battery should be beefed up to the same as well. Any reputable place that sells quality parts will have a wire harness to aid the added amperage of the alternator.

"Supply feed"? The serpentine belt is the supply feed.The wires to/from the battery are already bigger than 4 AWG. Any device drawing power won't draw any more, it'll draw what it needs.

The bigger alternator will be able to meet current demands of devices, but they'll draw what they want.
