Default tie down hooks

on my 07 ram it has the big black brackets on the lower parts of the bed with two bolt holes in them (i think they're called boat anchors). Does anybody know if dodge has an actual hook that would bolt onto these for using a ratchet strap or bungee on. I am always haulin crap in the truck, and it would be nice to have somethin down there to hook a ratchet strap to

Doesn't the ratchet strap have an open S hook that hooks into the built-in tiedowns? I assume you have this:

I didn't know they changed them from 07 to 08 - mine has loops in my bed like this:

Wow... I expected those to be a little more securely attached than just two sheet-metal screws.

That was just an example - I couldn't find one really in the truck but I was going for the shape. I'm sure that was not in one of our trucks

Ah. It hard to tell the size, but other than color I wouldn't have been surprised if that was what was in the bed. FWIW, the '08 2500 4x4 QC has the U-shaped hoops.

Default good idea.....

if you go out to home depot and get an eyehole bolt, you can drill a hole in the side of the bed by the original eyehole, and use a couple washers and double nut the bolt and your good to go.. i made sure to paint the exposed metal on the truck bed before inserting the bolt and it works great for me.. i use the lower ones i installed for hauling big crap and it keeps it balanced.
