ok i know this will seem strange, but recently 4 months ago i purchased my 1st ram i got a 06 Ram 1500 quad cab it is not the SLT trim package but i still love it. anyhow it has power locks and the doors automaticlly lock and unlock (when opening doors, going over 20 mph etc)anyhow the salesman told me that it did not have a key FOB remote. well maybe its just me but im not really sure i fully trust the word of a salesman. i have searched high and low looking for a way to confirm what he told me but i can't find anything. Is there any way that i can find out what my specific vehicle was equiped with at the factory or original dealer? OR does anyone know a way that i can find out if mine has keyless entry and just the salesman didn't want to tell me that they didn't have it? like where they reciever for the keyless entry might be located on the vehicle.

any help is greatly appreciated.

 

If you have power door locks, then I'm pretty sure the truck had it from the factory. They prob lost the keys and had to reprogram and just used a gray cheapo key. You should have the black one, or atleast it came with it. The gray has the built in chip but just is a plain key.

just go by your local stealership and ask the parts department they will know for sure and the fob is about 35 dollars but it is 50 dollars to get it programed at the stealership which takes maybe 1 minute
