Default Message Center not working?

Hey all,

I used to have an 03 CTD and recall the washer fluid light coming on early enough to let me know i was almost out, and also the "light out" display if my headlight died.

On this truck, I haven't seen either. Someone pointed out that my rear brake light is out, and I've also run out of washer fluid. Both without being alerted by the message center.

Any ideas? I haven't checked any fuses yet, but I wouldn't think this would be the problem. Maybe it is.

Cheers

I would confirm there is a problem by first uncliping the main front headlight feed and see if the message center say's, "lamp out" when that's done.
This will activate the message center and you should get that message.
If it doesn't, you have a problem.
Some lights which become open circuit do switch on the message function, but some don't.
License plate lights which are out, don't................at least on my 03 they dont.

Finally got to it. I tried unplugging the headlight and letting the truck run for a bit but nothing came up indicating that the light was out in the message center.

Anyone have a solution or idea?
