diff. measurements
Yea well I think the labor is around 300 from what I have heard, and I think derrick said his total was like 1100 with the lsd, gears, and install. I would go with the 4.11's since it's the closest to your calculated ratio. Also read this and remember it when you get your gears put in http://www.4x4now.com/gt0999.htm
i am uploading a vid of my truck going from 0-95. 456's aren't really that bad. the vid's uploading, and make a thread. and definitely get a posi. open diffs are so dumb on a vehicle you're/we're trying to make "go faster". and it sure made my chicago winter a lot easier.
as for gear companies, go with US Gear. Located here in chicago, and they make the oem gears that came inside your truck. motives suck, and are loud, but you'll never notice that cause we sit so far from diff, and can't hear it.

yea....as for pricing. anyone will do the gear/pinion for under $400...it seems it's a set cost just to go in there and change stuff. When i added an lsd, it didn't effect the $365 they charged me...it simply added a $600 detroit locker to the picture.
and doing it yourself, i don't think will work that easily. usually gears are as easy as cake, especially a truck like ours...but something had to be modified in there. i'm not sure if it was the actually ring gear they were modifying, or my actual differential.
