Question X pipes vs Y pipes vs...

so basically i have no idea what to get, considering no one makes a true dual exhaust and im not much of a fabricator, what is my best option? i want the free'st flowing style of exhuast, and common sense tells me bringing both pipes (from engine) into one muffler is quite restricting. so would an X or Y pipe with 2 mufflers be the best option?

If you want the true dual exhaust, go with the x-pipe. Then just go to a local shop to get the piping for it that you need. A y-pipe, at least our stock one, is really restrictive.

do you have to weld for exhaust? or can you just use the clamps adapting pipes?

depends what you think is costly..I went to my muffler shop and had him do a true dual setup with H pipe to dual cutouts (I already had).. to a dual 3"in/4" single out magnaflow muffler. the total cost for parts and the weld labor was $250... I'm glad i found a guy who chooses not to make money on parts.
