Default 2006 2500 DSL Ball Joint / Tie Rod / Death Wobble..

Hi there

I have a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 quad cab diesel laramie. When I was driving down the highway the other day at appx. 75mph I hit a joint in a bridge deck that was slightly crooked to the road, and suddenly my truck dove into a death wobble, until I braked down to about 40mph. Then, it happened again when i hit a deep pot hole that I couldnt avoid on the highway. I pulled it into my garage, and looked at the steering and suspension. I had a buddy of mine turn the wheels back and forth, and noticed that the bolt between the Pitman arm and tie rod seems to be a bit loose, it clicks slightly when moved from side to side. Also, when I turn the wheels, the tie rod going to the driver side rotates slightly towards the rear of the truck when turning the tires left, and back forward when turning the tires right.

I'm thinking that the pitman bolt is more of an unrelated issue, but needs to be replaced (the arm itself doesnt appear to be bent) but I was wondering what your thoughts were on the tie rod / ball joint / wobble. Would the ball joints cause such a violent wobble? Any other thoughts based on the info I provided? The tie rods were replaced in early fall, as were the passenger ball joints, but at that time the driver side was OK, and now thats the one thats acting strange....

I FIXED MY DEATH WOBBLE TODAY! I it to the shop to have the castor adjusted as recommended my many of the forums. After the mechanic drove it he said it was not the castor. After checking it out he told me the PITMAN ARM and the IDLER ARM were so broken they were about to fall off the truck. They were both replaced. He did not touch the castor. I just picked it up and drove home. When I hit the bumps on the way home that always set it off nothing happened! As of right now there is NO WOBBLE!
