whats up everyone? Still looking for tires for my truck...2002 Dodge Ram 1500 9in lift. Thinking about putting 38.5/15/17 Ground Hawg tires on the truck but don't know if they are worth it. Has anyone had experience with these tires? How do they do in the mud, sand, snow, or espically the road

HEAVY!!!!! i mean all tires that size are heavy but ground hawgs are heavy! but tough as nails.

 

yeah my brother has 38/15.50/15 ground hawgs on his jeep....they don't do too bad, tread getting wore down on them now but they were pretty well shot when we got em.....but we've gotten through quite a bit of mud with them, even as wore down as they are......i'd take a look at pitbull tires, thats what I'm goin with for my next set of tires

 

pit bull are some damn heavy duty tough *** tires. great choice

 

yeah the pitbull tires are insane....i saw a guy with a wrangler with some 37" (can't remeber which tires he had) but he said they were the best tire in the mud that he's ever owned.....so pitbull is deffinitly the way to go IMO....i know i'm gonna have a set on my 05 or the powerwagon before it's all said and done....but prolly the PW since it's soild front axle...mmmmmmm, bigger tires lol

 

Well i looked into the pitbulls...i would have to get 39.5/16.50/17. Would that be alright ya'll think or should i look into something different. I want a 38 or 39 just don't know how 39.5/16.50 are going to do on the IFS.

well...anything bigger then a 35 is gonna put major stress on the IFS....if you use it as a daily driver, be sure to have plenty of money saved up to start replacing stuff as it breaks....but, if you use it as a once a week truck like 5-8K miles a year, then it'll be a little more forgiving on how often you gotta replace stuff
