Does anyone know how much the front bumper from an SRT-10 Ram is? I have a 2002 Ram 1500 and want to replace the existing bumper with the SRT-10 model. I shouldn't have a problem with the fit, right? Also, is it only available from a dealership? How does the Street Scene bumper compare?

you might want to check into this more. i believe you need a sport appearance bumper, not the bumper on the st and slt's. the sport bumper has a different bracket underneath that you need to mount the srt 10 bumper with. you can get the bracket and put it on yourself., just giving you a heads up. i think this applies to the street scene as well. yur best bet is to call a dealership and ask about the direct mounting of the srt bumper, see what they say. they should know. 'should' being the key word.

also, those bumpers are cheaper to pick up on ebay. talk to this guy art henson who is selling this bumper on ebay. i hear he is pretty knowledgable and helpful.

 

From what I understand, you can shove it onto the regular chrome bumper, but I've not tried it. I have seen a picture of that, and you'd have to paint some of the chrome so it was not readily visible through the SRT cover openings. i am in the middle of the process of doing the srt 10 conversion from the slt and i am running into alot of problems the rebar behind the bumper is to big and my body shop says its needs to be half the size but dodge swears that there the same rebar so i will keep u updated with the process i find out tommorow.. we are thinking about just hacking up the rebar to make it fit unless we find another way.. and the street scene will just bolt up i have had it but i like srt 10 in my prefrence..
