Default electronic door-locking motor

Hey everyone, my door locking motor is shot so I went to the dealership and asked them if they had the motor so I could buy it and replace my old one...when he said the price for the motor it was a little over $150, does this sound right to anyone? It seems kinda a lot for a small part, just my opinion.

Thank You

Seems high to me... Ask them if they can do better. I usually call several dealers and ask them what’s the best deal they can do for me. You would be surprised at the mark up.

Good luck!!

has anyone had to replace theirs ever? Just wondering if there are certain tools you need for if you can just take off the door panels and replace?

maybe try to rebuild the electric motor. I did that on a couple of my window motors in my durango. stealership wanted like $280 per window motor. so i took the motors our, took them apart, cleaned up all the contacts, and they work good as new. Its worth a shot I guess, it will only cost you time.

I actually went back there this morning and i asked if i could get some sort of deal on it and the guy there took about 15 bucks off so thats better than nothing...but i already got it at my house so i just need some free time to be able to try to swap them out i just don't know how easy this will be since i've never had to do this before.
