Default Power Tailgate Lock

Just installed my new Pop 'n Lock Powered Tailgate lock yesterday. Ordered it from Moes on Friday morning, and had it installed by monday afternoon. That place is the best!

It is a pretty easy install to do, and once my tonneau comes in, it will really pay off. Couple notes about the install though. It comes with 2 sections of wire, a short and a long. and they plug into each other so you can take the tailgate off, and be able to disconnect the wire. But, on the kit i got, the short wire was pretty damn long, and the long wire wasnt quite long enough. So, I had to place the short wire waaay underneath the truck, so its gonna be a slight pain in the *** to take the tailgate off in the future. That is only temporary though, I will be making a trip down to radio shack, and getting some new connectors to make it right.

And lastly, that kit isnt an entire new tailgate latch, its just a rail, and an actuator that locks the OEM handle down from the inside.

yes, it locks and unlocks from your regular key fob along with all the other doors. its literally only 2 wires. they are under the dash going into the driver door. pretty easy to find and tap into them.

That sounds like a nice mod. How much did the kit run you?

That's what they are used for, those and caps too. Actually, it sounds like a really good way to keep your tailgate from being stolen! It's an easy thing to do and can only take 4-5seconds to do it!
I like the locking idea. I'm a freak of worry....lol

I was gonna do a write up and take pics during the install, but it was raining outside, and I just wanted to hurry up and get it in there.
