Default leveling drawbacks?

Just bought an '07 QC 1500 4x4 and am interested in putting in a leveling kit, then 17" wheels with 33" tires. What are the drawbacks to making this type of mod?

Gas Milage will drop a little from the heavier tires, and might want to replace front shocks with little longer ones I have not had to yet but am planning on this summer.
that is the only down sides when I did mine.

I was assuming that he was going to go with at least an AT tire or something with an agrassive tire tread those tires are generally heavier than regular LT tires made for the road. I went with Good Year Mud Terrians and lost about 1-2mpg depending on how I drive.

I was thinking of doing the leveling kit also but have read that many people have been experiencing problems with vibrations while driving at certain speeds after the leveling kit. It seems to be hit or miss though. Some have had no problems.

You are correct. My tire of choice is the BFG T/A KO 33x12.50. I put those on every 4x4 I buy. Love 'em.

I'm sure there are some drawbacks to the leveling kit. Anytime you start raising a vehicle things are bound to happen. I'm just curious as to what others have experienced and how quick they happened after putting on the kit.

Let's here about all that bad stuff...

You don't need to change shocks because there are none. 06+ have struts up front. There are quite a few 06+ out there that develop a vibration after a 2.5 inch leveling kit. Mine is one of them, but it's not too bad. The problem doesn't seem to exist with the 2 inch kits. It's kinda strange. You probably will lose gas mileage.
