I have a 03 dodge ram reg cab and was wondering if I could get away with buy two inch drop front coil springs and just doing a spring under lowering on the leaf springs with just welding some new spring perches on the housing and it looking right. It shold get like 4 to 4.5 inches out of it in the rear.

 

thats essentially what a lowering kit is really....all your gonna get in a lowering kit if you don't get the knuckles with it is front springs, rear flip kit, shock extenders and thats it really....i didn't get new u-bolts with mine, but i did go and buy some

yeah you'll get about 4.5" doing doing a spring under conversion

 

I think that if I do it that way the only thang that I will need in the rear is the longer shackles. wounder if I can just buy them instead of the whole kit. what is the web address for slammin
