Help with changing headlights

Default Help with changing headlights

im trying to change my driver side headlight bulb and i cant get to it. my hands are too big. im guessing that i have to remove the Fuse box to get back in there...

i have a 2004 dodge ram hemi QC 1500

help?

You need to remove the headlight assembly, the owners manual shows you where the screws are, and you need a long extension to get to the outer screw on the bottom. Once the screws are out, give it a little tug and be careful to not scratch the bumper, and its out and easy to change the bulb. Putting it back in is easier, and once you get one side out the other is easier too, you then know where everything is.

P.S.....silverstar bulbs are the way to go....

I was able to get mine out from underneath the truck. It was tough, but it came out with no problem. I actually used a small pair of channel locks to loosen the bulb retainer, then slipped it out by hand. Good luck.

Are the silver star bulbs worth the $40.00? Are they the bulbs that look blue or purple from a distance?

No. They look white, and yes they are worth it. Makes a noticable difference at night.
