Default Another typical trans ?

For the record, I searched the forum And looked under the FAQ section, which was a bitch to find btw. I am drivin a 2002 ram 1500 4x4 qcsb auto with about 53,000 on her, and am about to do a trans flush. I can no longer find how many quarts of oil it takes. I believe it to be 15, but wanted to double check. Also, a friend of mine says that the my tranny has 2 filters. I ordered mine on amsoil.com and it only recommended one. Has anyone had to change more than one filter??

There are two filters in there, a screw on filter and a bolt on filter. As far as a refill volume it depends on if you are just dropping the pan or doing a full flush. I have never done a full flush so I don't know but when I dropped the pan last time I think it took around 7 quarts but I could be wrong bc it has been a few months since I did it.

how was the FAQ hard to find? it's right at the top of the section page.....

well depends on what engine you have really....4.7 had a different trans on it compared to the 5.9 which was the old 46RE i believe, possibly a 44RE but same thing just different power handeling but the 46 was basically used on all 5.9....not sure on the fluid cap of it tho...been awhile since i've done one on those
