Check out the SC website. The Flashpaq claims over 21HP. Not bad for our trucks. Plus, like everyone else has said, its worth it just for the tranny improvements. I'm ordering one this week. Have to go with the SC because its the only one out there for a 4.7L.

Keep in mind with this question that I really don't know what I'm talking about...

In those dyno charts it looks like you lose HP and TQ all the way up to 5300 RPM??? Why would you want that? Who drives over 5300 other than on a drag strip??

Just trying to learn here.

take a look at that dyno. that 21 hp is at 5800 RPM (stock redline). I don't consider that a peak improvement, but an improvement nonetheless.

you're looking at the chart wrong. take a look at the labels. The two lines that dive off after 5200 are the stock HP, and Stock torque.

The Superchips numbers are pretty much the same as stock up to that point, but then continue almost straight across instead of diving.

i finally was able to load a tune after 11 weeks complaining with s/c, had a faulty tuner. as for the 4.7 it works well. i run the 87 octane tune, with 93 octane for nitrous. but when i am not at the track, just the 87 octane tune and gas. truck likes it alot. the shift points are well worth the tuner alone. also if you go to www.flashpaq.com, you can read some of the dodge forums to see what people think. also they are coming out with new updates for tranny line pressure, 93 octane tunes too, you can purchase a used tuner off ebay or see. www.airram.com, he has a special now $329.00 for the tuner

Forgive my ignorance...

I'm seeing that the stock data (shown in red) is HIGHER in the lower RPMs wehre we spend most of our driving?? Is that correct?

The new data (shown in black) is LOWER meaning that you have LESS HP and TQ all the way up to 5300 RPMs??

Am I still reading this wrong? I'm not trying to call you wrong, I really want to know... because it still looks backwards to me.

That dyno don't look right to me. I've seen probably a dozen or so pulled right off the techs laptop at KRC and this is more indicative of the dynos you should see after a superchips performance tune. Granted, the numbers are not quite what SC boasts, but not bad either...

you're still looking at the chart wrong. with the red circle, you are circling the old and new torque. the black circle is circling the old and new HP.

It's not your ignorance, it is really hard to see in there when they all cross. It confused me for a couple seconds too.

No he's looking at it right, well at least the way its labled. The chart itself is calling out the wrong information. specifically the notes written next to each curve. If you look at it the torque curve is labled as NEW HP and NEW TQ and the HP curve is labled as OLD HP and OLD TQ which is incorrect. Now with that said your explaination above is how it should be labled and read. Hope that clears things up a little
