Exclamation 6mpg last two days

Went to Tug Hill snowmobiling this week and got a whole 6mpg! WTF?? I was towing to sleds on a two place open trailer, had one sled in the bed and three of us in the truck with our gear. I had the cruise set at 75 on the NYS Thruway all the way to Utica. My brother was behind me with an 08 Quad Cab 4wd with a 4.7 and he too was pulling 2 on a trailer with one in the bed and 3 guys and gear. He was getting 12.9.
His truck is bone stock and mine has a K&N drop in which was cleaned amd oiled about a month ago and a Gibson Super Truck exhaust. Oh yeah, my f#%*ing sled broke down too!
Any ideas?

I forgot to check, but do you have the hemi or 4.7? 3.55's or 3.92's? If you dont mind me asking, what RPM's are you running at 75? It might sound stupid, but you just might want to try using the tow/haul option next time you tow. When im empty i run with the tow/haul on, and consistently get 3-4 MPG better, just because it eliminates the motor from bogging and feeding the motor too much fuel. Thus using less fuel.

Btw way, what kind of sled are you riding? Heres what im going to be riding this weekend...
