03 Leveling Kit
I have been looking through old threads for info on the leveling kit's for the 03 4.7l QC 2wd, found some info on the keys and shock mounts the info I found so fare was limited to the Daystar mounts and i can't remember the key which brand they were. My question is if any body has used either how do you like it? Our if there is some more info already in past threads could you point me in the right direction still learning how to use the search.
Thanks
Thanks
keys are for 4wd only. being 2wd you are limited to the polyurethane spacers that sit on top of the coil spring. i have a 2.5 inch spacer on right now. it works just fine, but i am still saving up for a spindle lift instead. personally i dont like how it changes all the suspension angles.
i running a spindle lift myself and i love it. the truck pretty much drives just like it used to. the only real difference is a somewhat stiffer ride, but it might be cause i went with the rc 8000 shocks with my kit. thinking about going to 9000's soon should make the road ride feel better, offroad its awesome i got alot more wheel travel.
I used the CST coil springs to level my 03 4.7l QC 2WD they cost around 200$. I also removed the overload springs and it rides very good, and performs very good offroad. Also CST makes better upper control arms for your truck(which I also have installed) the upper control arms from CST have replaceable ball joints and they are much stronger than stock!

If you still have the stock shocks, it's more likely that sound you hear when you go over those bumps is your shocks bottoming out because they are too short to work properly with a leveling kit.

so on the spindle lift what all does that involve doing? Also I order A set of Bilstin 4600's a few days ago thats what got me thinking on doing the leveling. Would they work with the spacers, I will probably go with a 2" I have the stock size tires still and don't plan on going bigger just want to bring the noose up a bit. Thanks again.
Well I went with the daystar leveling have a few weeks before I can put them on but will post pics when I get it done also when I figure how to post the pics thanks all later
