Default Dodge Complaint(s)...NTSB

Having issues with your Dodge vehicle? Dealer blowing you off? Out of Warranty? Looks like I'm not alone with a blend door issue on my 2006 Quad cab. Thank goodness 2006 saw a return to 3/36... Submit your complaint, *maybe* Dodge will have to address our particular issues.

Good luck, last I heard there were over 100,000 people on an electronic petition regarding the grenading factory LSD and Chrysler still won't acknowledge the problem, still advising dealers to say "gee, that's rare, never seen the c-clips fail before"...

I had to replace the blend doors in my '02 Grand Cherokee. Not hard, just very time consuming taking the entire dash out. Took me a solid 8 hour day, but the $110 for parts beat the sh*t out of the $1300 the dealer wanted...

Thumbs down Dodge "customer service"

Numerous trips for repairs (LSD too) covered under warranty and now addition failures without an extended warranty. The economy is no excuse. My service manager was very difficult to deal with 2 years ago when the economy was good. Given the Big 3's situation and find it hard to believe that Chrysler would alienate current owners, thus ensuring that those disenfranchised owners will not purchase another Chrysler product. But they are and have been jobbing owners for some time. I'm 99.9% sure that I WILL NOT purchase another Chrysler product. IMHO, as a mechanical engineer, the product is garbage sans the engine and transmission (some have tranny issues here too). Government bailout? How about fixing my truck and standing by your products.

If I didn't do my own work on the truck, I would agree with you 100%

they aren't interested, they already have your money and are looking for some more ( bailout ). this is how we got where we are today, why not give more money to businesses that will keep producing the same crap ( probably even cheaper now to save money ) and not have anyway to pay it back????? they can't figure out why sales haven't picked back up ???? should they really even be in business ?? ?? ?? ? ?

in all honesty, if i had known that the quality ( of all makes ) had dropped so much when my early 90's GMC 1/2 tonne died, i would have rather spent the $5 - $10G's ( my new one was only worth $15G's a year after i bought it anyway ) to fix it than buy what i have now. i love my new truck but it's been at the dealer more in a year and a half than my GMC was in the shop for the 15+ years i owned it.

the only upside is i'll never have to change my trans fluid, they have to keep putting a new torque converter in every year. and why not, it's easier than looking for the actual problem and they get paid for it by Dodge every time they do it. now with the clunking noise coming from the front end, i should be able to get some new ball joints / tie rods or CV joints..... will it ever end ???

I have owned numerous cars over the years, but I always did the service in the book and never had a problem. My 2004 ram is the only vehicle that doesnt "follow" the rules for preventive service to help prolong the life of the vehicle.
Water pump, new radiator, all new hoses from heater core, power steering, radiator hoses, serpentine belt, thermostat, new radio, hood latch (squeaked like mad), Idle air control valve, three, yes three ABS wheel speed sensors that mount to the differential, new throttle body, busted power steering pump and thats all I can remember right now. The truck only has 65k. I dont off road and I pamper her which surprises me with all these things that have happened...

I beat the absolute sh*t outta mine, when I do hunt/fish/play (which unfortunately isn't as often as I'd like anymore) and to date I've broken a stock shock in the pre-lift and upgrade to Rancho days, and broke the drivers side pillar post when I grabbed it and swung my fat a$$ back to to talk to someone.
I'm not saying it won't start to fall apart tomorrow, but to date, it's the most reliable truck I've ever owned, and I've had something like 7 full size 4x4s in my life.
But I have to admit, starting with the '07s (and not just from Dodge) I'm seeing a lot more issues, especially front end and electrical issues with all trucks. Seems they started to cut even more corners about then...

Look at the evaporator core while you're in there! Just as flakey as the blend doors and just as likely to go at anytime. Was recommended by EVERYONE when I did the blend doors in the Jeep GC! Part is cheap and trust me, you get all the way in there and put it back together, you ain't ever gonna want to do it all over again...
