I've got a flowmaster super 40 and an electric cutout on my truck at the moment. The electric cutout is by far better sounding than the flowmaster. I would trade my flowmaster to try a different muffler but I will never take off the cutout, it is by far my favorite exhaust setup I have ever had.

If I were doing it all over again, I would keep the stock muffler and run a cutout.

The DMH electric cutout is the best IMO. Many guys have been running them for a while with no problems and they come with a three year warranty. I love mine.

I have a QTP cutout, and I have not had any problems. Although, seeing as you have an 06, i would definitely get a programmer that can disable the MDS, if you don't already have one. It will sould like crap with the cutout when the MDS kicks in.
