Line-x is good stuff, from what I have seen they spray it on walls to help keep it from fragmenting in the event of an explosion or something. That means fewer pieces blown around that could injure someone. I have my bedliner done with line-x and love it.

You don't have to worry about the water getting under. These trucks have enough holes for draining that the water won't be able sit there for long. I know mine was fine.

As far as the liner, I wouldn't get anything except the drop-in liners. I hate the spray-ons. They hurt like h*ll to kneel down on them, and you can't hardly sweep them out. And a real truck doesn't need any sort of liner in it. My uncle has an '85 Chevy, and the bed is in great shape inside. There is a hole poked in it from a heavy object being placed in it before he had it. But that doesn't matter, not that big. You can see that the bottom is rusted, but it's only rust colored. It hasn't worn thin at all, and it gets used like a bed. Things being pulled in and out, scratching the bottom.
I liked my drop-in more than a spray-on, plus a drop-in can be taken out, whereas a spray-in can't.

what about moisture in the air? if you live in a humid environment and the air gets in through cracks and settles there, that could possibly rust your bed out

I got the lineX 3 years ago and love it. Looks great (still) and I use the bed quite a bit. It's worth getting it over the rails if you use your bed and it still looks sweet.

I agree with this...i have dropped some heavy, heavy pieces of steel and they kinda bounce and slide off without any damage. i have had pieces peel the plastic down 1/16", kinda like peeling wood and its still fine. i think in certain cases the dropin is the way to go. hell, maybe we should have a poll in the FAQ about it maybe.....ill bet more would opt for the spray in though

i have had the line-x and rhino both on different trucks. and liked the rhino better. stuff seems to stay still better with the rhino. i had line-x in one and rhino in two trucks. my truck now has rhino that is color matched. it looks great. but if you actually use your bed alot the color match gets scuffed easy. if you haul alot i would just get the black. and the color match jacks the price up a good bit too. i have my bed over the rails , with a little extra over the tail gate and my rockers done and it cost 1650$. but it looks sweet and i get alot of compliments on it.

GO WITH THE LINE-X.... i love mine to death...easy to clean every time. one time i got paint on it and used gasoline to eat away at at for like 10 min then sprayed it off with a hose and it looked brand new!!!!!!!! mine was like $400. best investment on my truck other than the truck itself!!

yea ive put my liner through some hell and its tough as nails. i have a mopar drop in. i think spray ins are good for people just doing toy hauling and what not but for serious work purposes the drop ins are tough as hell.

raminator is right moisture can still get under there and it will never dry fully but what can you do, and once a liner is in why would you want to take it out? i just think its funny how everyone is talking about "cleaning" the bed...its a pickup truck for christ sakes!!!
