Default 38/15.50/18 on what rim?

I need help finding a 18x10 wheel. I have a couple in mind but not to much. Is it possible to mount a 15.50 wide tire on a 9" wheel? Give me some ideas for new rims if anyone gets a chance.

15.5' on a 9" wheel, uhhh NO! That's even a wide tire for a 10" wheel unless you have a lot of sidewall. That wide will require a major offset or even an offset with the addition of spacers. You'll need At least 1.5" of extra offset.

u dont wanna go any wider than about 4-4 1/2" than the rim, so you would need 18x11 or 12 to mount 15.50's correctly. lets see some pics of your truck, it must be a beast if your lookin at tires like that!

Guys, a 15.50 will work just fine on a 18x10 rim. The 15.50 measurement is NOT straight across the tread, it is DIAGONAL from the bead to the edge of the tread on the opposite side of the tire (i.e. inboard bead to outer tread edge).

A 38/15.50R18 will have a tread width of about 12 to 12.5 inches, give or take a little. That gives only about an inch to an inch and a quarter of overhang per side, which, with a 38" tire has more than enough sidewall to make that negligible.

Notice the 38X15.50R18 MTZ has a tread width of 12.2 inches. Do the math here, and you'll also see that a 38" tire on an 18" rim will give you about 10" of sidewall. Plenty enough to offset a 1" per side width difference.

You can use anything from a 10-13" wheel. I'd not try to mount anything wider than a 13.5" on a 9" wheel though...

If I'm not mistaken, all or most of the Mickey Thompson and Dick Cepek wheels are available in 18x10s. The Cepek is my personal favorite wheel. They hit the market about 6 months after I bought my Mickey Thompson Classic II's...
