Steering Problem??

Default Steering Problem??

hey all... i just had a quick question on what my problem could be if its anything at all. When i turn my wheel almost full clock around or however you wanna say it, it ticks and it does it mostly when turning left but also does it turning right. Now has anyone heard of this?

oh and when it gets to that point, the wheel seems just to go to FULL clock by itself, i dont know if thats normal or whatever

Ticking noise may just be a loose tie rod or any part of the power steering system rattling under pressure. It might not even be an issue, but check for any loose components or leaks. If it starts hissing, then whining and groaning under full lock, or near full lock, that would indicate fluid in the rack boot, and a major leak. My truck started hissing under full lock, then whining and groaning about 2 weeks before I found my power steering fluid lying the driveway and had to replace the rack.

Yeah, don't let it get that far or you're going to have to call some nice guy and borrow his pressure washer so the landlord don't throw you out into the street...

the landlords would be my parents haha, im only 19 and in college so i still live at home, i told the dealership to look during my last oil change and they couldnt find anything but just in case i told them to make a note so if they can replicate it on my next oil change it will be under warranty even though im over 36000 at the moment so that warranty is up
