i bought my hella kit for $39 on ebay, then upgraded the wiring to 12 guage, 30 amp fuses, and switch so i can run a higher watted bulb. I think all and all i spent 50 or 55 bucks. I went off a DIY here on the forum I think it was done by hammer but not 100% sure.

For some reason I can't figure out how to put a bigger picture as an attachment, all I had to do was put the cursor over the picture and it blew it up.
how much did it cost to do that setup?
thats for the lights and all the wiring, etc.
my guess is less than $100 but can you do it cheaper?
Less than a hundred bucks. The 12 gauge wire is sold at Wal-Mart but I soldered on new plugs to the relay and soldered plugs to the positive lead on the lights. I just like to solder everything that's just me. Crimping will work just fine also. I did not run any switch inside I just used the high beam lead as my input wire. I then bought the bulbs at a local off road shop www.etaoffroad.com Pretty much everything you need comes with the lights (switch, relay, fuse, wire, mounting hardware) which I paid 60 bucks for...
It sounds relatively easy to do, actually. I would want to put mine on a switch inside the cab though; on demand I guess. I wonder how reliable those lights are, but if I can get the Hellas for pretty cheap, why not huh.
yeah i ran my switch into the truck like a couple other people did in the forum, I am not sure that I like the location, it is to the left of the sterring wheel in the removable blank piece of plastsic. On a couple of occasions I have accidently turned them on and I am so used to hearing the bells go off when my lights are that I didnt notice they were on until i saw the red light on the switch. I think i am gonna try to find a better place to put it, when i ran the wires i left about 2 feet xtra just incase.
