Hello everyone. I have been searching a while on the internet trying to find a fix for my ball joint problem to no avail.
Here it is; I am having trouble with my passenger side lower ball joint nut. This is on a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 w/ 5.9L(Z). The nut turns with the ball joint stud so it will not come off. The drivers side came off easily. I have tried an impact wrench, I have tried jacking up on the spindle, and I have tried forcing the spindle down as far as I can but nothing is working.
Has anyone else had this problem before?
Any help or ideas are appreciated. I am afraid that I am going to have to try cutting the stud above the nut. I don't want to have to try that.
Thank you.

i actually just did all my ball joints and tie rods...and the lowers DO get pressed out. they are so tight that i thought it was one piece that slid into the control arm and the rivets held it in so i started cutting the rivets and decided to go ahead and try and press it out and thank god i did because the amazingly pressed out...and then i ended up having to weld the rivets back up lol.....what a B*TCH job though!!!
I know they are pressed in. Thats not what I am saying. This is the ball joint that was going out and caused me to replace them all. Before I can remove the knuckle and press it out I have to remove the nut. However, the actual ball stud turns with the nut so I cannot remove it. That is the problem and I am hoping for a solution. I am going to talk to a Dodge service manager in the near future.,
