The more I live, the more the reality of the truth appears. I'm very lucky and that's why I play everything safe now. Many guys have died from far less speeds. I threw up what I have done, but not one second that I think about the danger when I went fast. Age is a funny thing. 10years ago, I thought I would never drive the speed limit and obey traffic laws as much as I do now. Heck, I have only been pulled over once in 6years and haven't had a ticket in over 7.

 

I've gotten the ole ram to about 120ish... a buddy's uncle let me take his 07 rumblebee charger out for my graduation present and we got to 140, what a blast.

 

I've barried my speedo, never thought of using the GPS...lol

 

115 in the Ram, 125 in the 300C. Topped out my Chevy 1500 at 121. My Dad's Bonnevilles would run way better than that; 160 or so. That was on drum brakes and bias-ply tires.

 

My Ram Hemi 150 according to the Edge Evo display. Whooohooo! Talk about a rush.

Pontiac Solstice: 154mph
Pontiac Trans Am: 165mph
SRT-10 Ram: 150mph
03 Ram SLT 4.7: 95mph
88 Mustang GT 5.0: 160mph

I would say the safest feeling one was the Solstice. I went over 100 almost daily when I owned that car for a year and a half. I drove over 100 miles a day so I like to get the time driving down to a minimum . The T/a was better until we had 3.73s put in and a Detroit locker. I blew up the rear of the transmission at 150mph next to a Charger SRT-8. I was racing an 08 Mustang GT with I/E/T in the SRT-10 and was pulling on him and I let off at around 150 about 3 cars ahead. The 88 mustang I was riding passenger in. I will never ride passenger again at anywhere near those speeds.

 

i had may 07 reg cab 4.7 up to 112mph...and it is just pushing way too much air out of thw way. haha. so that was about all she had. but i had my dads 04 mazda rx8 to 147 one night on I-85 in atlanta and it felt twice as smooth as my ram did at 105. haha. dodge didnt build her for top speed.

 

Probably smoother. My solstice felt 10x smoother at 140 than the truck at 90.

Maybe sports cars should have their own lane

 

i drive the ram like an old man (well kinda), the vulcan has seen 100+ a few times but not much desire to go faster.
