The "Hemi" is really a "Poly". WTF?

there's no false advertising on my 4.7L haha

i figured they weren't identical but honestly that wouldn't bother me too much. so what if it's not perfectly hemispherical.. still is one of the better engines for half ton trucks.

gm doesn't come close, ford no way, the toyo i force is pretty tough other than that.

the new 4.7L when packaged with the getrag 238 gives a hemi a tough run for the money but that's because DCX auto transmissions blow giant ***** and pretty much nullify the 35 hp difference between the two motors.

When I first learned about it I thought about a re-badge, But then I realized I don't want people feeding my truck. You know, "Poly wanna cracker".

I'm surprised you didn't know this. I have a friend with a F250 who always tells me it's not a real Hemi

That is very interesting. I guess that's why the valve covers are so much bigger on the old 426 and 413 motors.

Now that I know the difference, I would have a lot more respect for you "Hemi" guys if you were to get rid of those misleading badges and replace with "Poly"!

Yeah the Hemi aint nothin on the older true hemi's I rode in one when I was younger (talking like 8 here) and then now when I even took the Hemi for a test out on the back roads (this was in a CHARGER -not chevy-) - It didnt really hold up to my standards performance wise, I only noticed a SLIGHT difference in over my 2.2L 4cyl Ecotech... *shifts eyes* but then again that could be cause I know how to drive my car and I outran the same charger on the same road I took it out on when the OWNER took me on... now that... was funny!!!
Picture me - 5'8"ish in my lil colbalt and the Charger's owner was 5'2"... Yeah... Funny

well I know that but you dont have that lift on that truck like Nitto does, the bottom of his door probably comes up to my chest, I kid you not, the boy toy's Rubicon comes up to right below my chest, perfect height to lean in and rest on the seat and talk to him LMAO as I am sure he is enjoying that view
